Luxury Coastal Living

If you live near the sea, you can consider yourself very lucky - even in Florida. Waterfront homes are generally a commodity because there is only so much coastline with a limited number of available waterfront home sites. If you are looking for homes with a Gulf View in Wellen Park, you will find none. But the Gulf of Mexico is only 4 miles away. Instead of a Gulf view, your new home can come with a stunning lake or pond view.

Gulf Coast: Where the Sea Meets the Sky

Some of the most magnificent beaches are littered along the Gulf Coast. The beaches offer frequent sights of bottle-nose dolphins, majestic pelicans, and manatees, and every beach is unique.

Sarasota County is home to beaches that include the award-winning Siesta Key, renowned for its soft white sands. Further south is Venice Beach, a perfect place for sharks' teeth hunting, while Manasota Key is a place where you can escape to find some quiet time.

Four beaches are on Manasota Key, and each one has its unique features. The State Park Beach is for nature lovers. No entertainment unless you let the dolphins and pelicans entertain you. Englewood Beach (also known as "Chadwick Beach") is for people who need some "action." Bars, restaurants, jet ski, and boat rental places are only minutes away from the beach.

The Middle Beach is quieter. There are no eateries or bars in the vicinity of Englewood beach. The same applies to Manasota Beach, but this beach is the only one on the key with lifeguards on duty. If you like an extra layer of security, that is the beach where you want to be.

Think outside the Box: Wellen Park will impress You

The Wellen Park, a master-planned community of approximately 12,000 acres, located between the Myakka River and the Gulf of Mexico, comes with a visionary approach to "living well." Wellen Park, formerly "The West Villages," is the focal point of a new home development in Venice, Florida. The new community's name seems to be a little odd; however, the idea behind it is that the community is rooted in "wellness."

The word "Wellen" comes from the German or Dutch word "Wellen." The German word "Wellen" ( "waves") doesn't make too much sense, while the Dutch word "Wellen" stands for "wellness." That is clearly what the new community stands for. Now, Wellen Park is the unique name, and confusion with other communities is in Florida is impossible.

Wellen Park comprises nine distinct neighborhoods that offer various housing styles, resort-style amenities, a town center, and medical facilities. West Villages is now a section within Wellen Park and two new districts, "Playmore" and "Downtown Wellen." A unique feature is that all communities are focusing on the preservation of the environment and wildlife. Wetlands, waterways, and substantial green belts are attracting local wildlife - your new neighbors may be birds and deer, wild pigs, alligators, turtles, and otters.

West Villages is predominantly a single-family home community. Once completed, the master-planned community will have more than 60,000 residents living in 22,000 homes. However, that will take a while. As the saying goes..."Rome also wasn't built in a day."
